**Peninsula Private Hospital - Staff Development Coordinator**
- Part time role 3 days a week (0.6 FTE)

**The Opportunity**
You will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development and delivery of nursing education course/programs throughout our hospital.
**As the Staff Development Coordinator, your responsibilities will include**:
- Planning and developing the education and training programs that addresses the strategic direction of the hospital
- Work in partnership with the stakeholders to deliver identified programs and education as specified in National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards
- Take a leadership role in the coordination, delivery and facilitation of education programs delivered across the facility/site and manager hospital orientation program for new employees
- Promote a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge
- Supervise staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components
- Work with the Medical and Surgical Ward NUM’s and executive team members to prioritise departmental education requirements

**Selection Criteria**:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA
- Certificate in workplace assessment and training
- Post graduate certificate in education
- Relevant Nursing qualification
- Ability to deliver teaching programs and objectively evaluate and assess learning outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent leadership, team building and interpersonal skills
- Strong change management skills
- Background in wound care, diabetes or palliative nursing desirable
