
Training & Development Coordinator

The Training & Development Coordinator manages internal and external Training Programs for energy & gas projects in QLD. This is a full-time permanent role based in Pinkenba / Brisbane.
**Key Duties**
- Responsible for coordination and delivery of internal & external training packages to accepted electrical industry standard
- Involvement in the development of training programs/packages across Ventia Electricity and Gas QLD
- Liaise with training coordinator to ensure charge backs to operational business units are effectively monitored and maintained to achieve lowest cost
- Ensure quality checks of training & assessments records are maintained to industry standard
- Liaise with training coordinator to ensure assessment records are uploaded into Ventia training database in a timely manner
- Ensure that training records are maintained in the training database
- Monitor implementation of the access and equity policy by all staff
- Identify, negotiate, plan and implement appropriate learning and assessment strategies to meet the needs of internal & external clients
- Ensure team members comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, regulations, and statutory obligations
- Ensure effective communication of work group objectives
- Managing charge backs to Operations and maintaining lowest cost of training
- Monitor implementation of the access and equity policy by all staff
- Ensure trainers undertake appropriate professional development activities
**Skills and Experience**
- Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or equivalent
- Certificate III in Powerline Distribution or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience as a trainer is preferred
- Sound knowledge of the electrical distribution industry
- Knowledge of national training packages relating to the electrical powerline industry
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations
