**About the role**

This role is based at the Naala Djookan Healing Centre and focuses on promoting support services for women, children, and families experiencing or at risk of Family and Domestic Violence. The position supports the delivery of holistic programs such as arts and crafts, yarning circles, educational sessions, and culturally grounded experiences.

In addition to assisting with the daily operations of the Centre, the role will contribute to community engagement through research participation, collaboration with local organisations, coordination of training workshops, identification of media opportunities, and promotion of community events and initiatives.

**About you**

You’ll have a strong passion for supporting women, children and families experiencing family domestic violence and have the ability and sensitivity to work in highly emotive and trauma impacted environments. You’ll also have the ability to be innovative and provide strategic solutions to address community needs.

In addition, you will also possess:

- An undergraduate degree qualification in community development, community services or equivalent is desirable
- Prior experience working in Family Domestic Violence or children services
- Strong understanding of cultural barriers to accessing and receiving FDV services for people from Indigenous and CaLD backgrounds, people with disabilities or who identify as LGBTQI
- Project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Drivers licence
- Working with Children’s Check
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
