**About the role**

This role is based at Mirrabooka and focuses on providing casework support to eligible Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) service users to enable for positive settlement in Australia. The role works mainly with Humanitarian entrants, refugees and other eligible visa holders to provide tailored casework in their first 5 years in Australia.

You will respond to issues and concerns, supporting service users to achieve their goals by providing practical support, mentoring and advocacy as required. You will provide timely and relevant referrals to other services as required whilst maintaining a strong understanding of relevant services and supports. The role offer a great opportunity to be part of the Settlement services network in WA and Nationally with access to community of practice and ongoing professional development.

**About you**

You’ll have a strong passion for casework support and empowering our settlement engagement and transition support (SETS) service users. You will hold previous experience in a caseworker position.

In addition, you will also possess:

- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, or demonstrated experience as a Case Worker is desirable
- Demonstrates the knowledge and experience to be able to provide a quality casework service
- Demonstrates an ability to develop relationships of trust with refugee and new migrant communities, with evidence of existing connections and collaborative relationships
- The ability to effectively communicate with service users from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds
- Drivers licence
- Working with Children’s Check
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
