**About the Role**
The Darebin Intercultural Centre (IC) is a place where people cultivate mutual respect for each other’s cultures and identities and can equally participate in life. Reporting to the Team Leader Intercultural Centre, the Venue Services Officer helps ensure the smooth operation of the IC.

Responsibilities include:

- Facility management and support - assist with the maintenance of the venue, including open and close procedures and light cleaning as required
- Function support - set-up of meeting rooms, arrangement of associated catering and events at the IC.
- Event and venue hire administration - support managing bookings, event registrations, supporting events as required, including some afterhours and weekends
- Marketing and Communication support - support promotion of programs and activities via digital and print media Program support - support the Team leader with programs and community groups, including safety and risk management systems

**Skills & Experience**
- Excellent inclusive and culturally sensitive interpersonal skills
- Experience in a front-facing role in customer service and/or community support
- Experience in venue/event management and/or support
- Secondary education
- Experience in a local government setting and systems (desirable)
- Experience in food and beverage handling (desirable)
- First aid certificate / experience (desirable)
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence (desirable)
