Darebin Libraries has an exciting opportunity to join our Community Learning & Programs team and help deliver our broad range of adult events and programming. Adult literacy, learning, social connection and intercultural celebration are just some of the activities the Community Learning & Programs Officer will be responsible for supporting and delivering.

- 2 x Permanent, Part Time (H10019 & H10015)
- Salary $69,987 pro rata plus super
- Opportunities for higher duties and secondments into different roles
- Library branches are easy to get to via public transport, bicycle or car
- Position - H10015 (0.5FTE/17.5 hours per week) Tuesday/Wednesday 1.15 -8.15pm Friday 12.00-5.00pm
- Position - H10019 (0.46 FTE / 16.25 hours per week) Tuesday 5.00-8.15pm Wednesday 1.15-8.15pm Friday 8.30-4.00pm

**About the Role**
As the Community Learning & Programs Officer this role has a focus on supporting and delivering adult event programming across Darebin Libraries with a focus on adult learning and social connectivity.

To achieve this, you will:

- Help to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the organisation, delivery and logistics of events, including setting up spaces, arranging materials, facilitation of activities and coordinating equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the smooth running of programs and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Assist in the evaluation of programs by collecting and recording attendance data and participant feedback.
- Deliver high-quality frontline customer service, engaging proactively with library users to support their access to learning resources, technology, and library services.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of programs by attending training, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

- Experience in delivering community programs and events in a library or similar setting.
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in customer service, with the ability to proactively engage with diverse community members and support their learning needs.
- Competency in using digital resources, library management systems, and technology to support service delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to continuous improvement.
- A current Working with Children Check is essential.
