The Technical Compliance Officer provides guidance to EO Services to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements in order to provide assurance to the General Manager that contractual and regulatory requirements are being met.

In addition to compliance activities, the Technical Compliance Officer engages in improvement activities in an effort to improve compliance further, reduce the incidence or injury or incidents and contribute to continuous improvement across the group.

**Responsibilities**
- Review and validation of technical documents.
- Provide technical assistance to depots and the contract office to ensure compliance to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain EO incident records, provide monthly progress reporting statistics.
- Provide responses to Defence in relation to EO incidents.
- Assist in investigations and reporting of EO incidents.
- Conduct technical audits and report on compliance non-conformances.
- Maintain an Explosive Limit License database.
- Help depots in relation to licensing compliance and improvement.
- Provide technical input on EO maintenance work orders.
- Attend Sub-Committee Meetings to represent EOS licensing interests.
- Development of technical procedures, directives and instructions.
- Deliver technical training.
- Write and distribute the quarterly Technical Newsletter.
- Control the day to day usage of the Technical library - Sourcing, recording, maintaining amendments, filing, archiving and distribution of EO technical data.
- Process Work Permits.

**Essential Skills**
- Experience in storage, handling and transport of Dangerous Goods
- Experience in EO facility operations at wholesale /retail level
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels within the organisation.
- Ability to utilise telephone extensively.
