**About the role**:
Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) is part of Vehicles and Tactical Systems Country Business Unit. EOS operates 17+ depots around Australia to provide a storage, distribution and maintenance service for Explosive Ordnance used by the Australian Defence Force.

The Safety & Compliance Group provides technical advice, guidance and support relating to Technical Safety, Facilities and Infrastructure, Workplace Health, Safety and Environment, Quality & Major Hazard Facilities and Security.

This is the perfect role for a genuine team player looking to continue their career in security management, whilst utilizing their already strong people skills in a Defence / logistic environment.
- Coordinate the development of organisational and site-specific security documentation
- Undertake security audits of security activities to ensure continued compliance and facilitate external audits by Defence Authorities as required
- Coordinate and report the conduct of security related compliance audits to Safety Compliance
- Manage and monitor the performance of the security subcontractor
- Undertake the role of EO Services Business Unit Security Officer (SO) and represent EO Services interests at relevant internal/external forums
- Co-ordinate security incidents and investigations
- Ensure that security Alerts, Advisories, Guidelines and Directives issued by Corporate Security are delivered to Business Group stakeholders with the necessary value-added commentary
- Provide advice and support to EO Depots and the EO Services SO Network on security activities.
- Act as the EO Services Technology Control Officer (TCO) and manage International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements for EO Services
- Participate in ‘On-Call’ activities to support unpredictable events as required
- Lead and manage your security team

**How About You?**
- Recognised formal training ICAM or Security related qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant experience
- Strong intra and interpersonal communication skills including written communication, presentation and liaison skills
- Broad knowledge and /or experience of logistics operations involving dangerous goods
- Previous experience in security management within a Defence environment would be highly regarded
- Existing NV1 clearance holders or above would be highly advantageous
