**About the role**:
As a Carbon Compliance Analyst you will play a crucial role in ensuring Origin Zero’s compliance with various environmental schemes and will support reporting obligations by analysing data, unit transfers and maintaining compliance records. We are looking for a highly analytical and numerate professional with a strong understanding of the renewable energy market and regulatory environments who is passionate about partnering with businesses on their sustainability goals.

You'll be responsible for navigating complex environmental schemes, ensuring compliance, and managing risk in the ever-evolving carbon markets. Your work will directly influence our ability to meet regulatory requirements, avoid financial penalties, and strengthen our position as a leader in sustainability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Data Insight**:Dive deep into electricity data to determine regulatory reporting requirements for green and carbon schemes. Your analytical skills will be crucial in this role.
- **Risk Management**: Protect Origin from strategic exposure by diligently managing regulatory and financial risks in the dynamic carbon market landscape.
- **Operational Efficiency**: Be at the forefront of process improvement, developing methodologies and systems that enhance our operational efficiency in meeting compliance requirements.
- **Stakeholder Trust**: Deliver monthly reports that provide transparency and assurance to internal stakeholders, contributing to our forecasting and planning efforts.
- **Innovation**: Embrace change and take the lead in identifying and communicating new and complex issues. Your insights will drive continuous improvement in our compliance systems.

**What will you bring?**
- Similar experience in an Analyst role ideally in Carbon Compliance or a similar field
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant quantitative discipline
- Understanding of the renewable energy market and regulatory environments
- Strong numerate and analytical skills using Microsoft Excel and Tableau Reports
- Proven experience in process improvement and the ability to identify and communicate complex issues.
