**About the role**:
As a member of the Commercial Transactions Team, the Commercial Development Analyst will contribute to the development of commercial strategies, transaction management and opportunity identification to support Origin's Energy Supply & Operations Business (ES&O) investment and development decisions across the electricity, gas, coal, carbon and renewable markets.

They will be responsible for obtaining, analysing and communicating relevant information to support advancement of development workstreams as well as coordinating and advancing cross business unit workflows to deliver transaction and project outcomes.

**Why this role matters?**
- Sourcing and analysis of relevant technical and market information to support the strategic development and analysis of new renewable portfolio opportunities and the commercialisation of existing development assets to support the ES&O energy portfolio
- Undertake valuations and build and maintain financial models in relation to asset development and new transactional opportunities
- Prepare presentations and written materials to communicate key messages from technical, market, financial and commercial analysis to deliver strategic understanding for portfolio opportunities
- Coordinating both internal and external resources and stakeholders to project manage key pre-FID elements of Origin's large-scale renewable energy projects to meet objectives in the required timeframes and in accordance with the budget and strategic priorities
- Coordinate the approval processes for large scale commercial transactions across Steering Committees, Results Delivery Office (seeking sign off where appropriate) and facilitate the development of the approval framework to streamline the signing of contracts
- Contribute and provide commercial and market input into Origin’s government and regulatory policy decisions and positions where relevant
- Liaise and manage internal and external stakeholders to gather inputs towards the ES&O position on investment and commercialisation decisions

**Wht will you bring?**
- Tertiary Qualification in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, Mathematics or similar)
- Highly organised with ability to prioritise multiple tasks and distil complex issues to facilitate commercial decisions
- Ability to manage a large number of activities concurrently in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build/sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong written communication abilities (reports, briefs, presentations, proposals and external communications)
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment and under stressful situations to deliver to deadlines
- Financially numerate with an understanding of valuation concepts and exposure to managing budgets
