**Overview
This role would be responsible to collaborate and execute the Digital Technology Strategy within RSS, delivering of market leading digital solutions to the superannuation industry and to the RSS business internally. The role would interact with the internal stakeholders and external clients including the Digital team, Customer Experience and Solutions Teams, the Product team, and other internal digital stakeholders. The role would be responsible for developing and maintaining development practices and guidelines and ensuring the team follow a security by design approach, enforcing and adhering to the organisation’s technology strategy.
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
Strategic Focus:
- Collaborate and Execute the Digital Technology Strategy within RSS working closely with key stakeholders and external clients.
- Implement digital road map to agreed budget and timescales including realisation and measurement of benefits
- Provide thought leadership on Digital technologies and innovations within the Superannuation industry.
- Identify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to generate maximum value for the clients and Link.
- Establish innovative and sustainable development practice bringing operational, financial efficiency and delivering to customer requirements. Proven ability to negotiate business outcomes and influence the strategic direction of an organisation through initiatives and solutions.
Operational Management:
- Develop and cultivate close working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients including the Digital team, the Product team and other internal digital stakeholders.
- Regularly seek feedback from our stakeholders and external clients on our Digital product, roadmap and service and provide insights and actions to continuously innovate and improve.
- Continue to learn and develop skills in product development innovation to implement new ideas and practices. Consider a human centred design approach.
- Ability to work with cross functional teams driving projects from ideation to launch.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting
- Provide valuable insight and analysis on our Digital product performance so standards can be improved and streamlined.
People Leadership:
- Demonstrated ability to evangelize vision and direction in a way that drives contagious staff motivation.
- Focus on leadership and professional development of the direct team.
- Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on building good teams, continuous improvement, project delivery.

Governance & Risk:
- e2e Governance & Oversight of SDLC Practices. Risk Manager, calling out delivery challenges, constraints and mitigation plans ensuring customers outcomes in timely manner.
- Ensure key performance indicators are measured, analysed, and accurately reported to stakeholders for incidents of all priorities.
- Take a lead on the management of risk, dependencies and issues associated with tech delivery.
- Manage audit requirements and any associated actions.
**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields, or the equivalent in software development work experience
- 15+ years of Software Development experience in Information Technology position in a medium size commercial environment.
- Leading a team of extremely passionate engineers in the development of our microservice infrastructure to one that can scale globally.
- Demonstrating engineering excellence and best practice, bringing the team along on the journey.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels of the organisation and build strong relationships and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ownership and pride in the quality of the software and infrastructure you work on, and the way that it succeeds in meeting the needs of its users
- Experience with engineering and operational practices and processes which promote incrementalism, frequent delivery and tight feedback loops
- Strong depth of practical experience and knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Amazon webservices cloud platforms.
- You are fluent in a full stack of programming languages (typically C#,.NET Core /.NET, Angular, REACT, HTML, JavaScript) with at least 5-7 years of experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge in using Reactive programming pattern libraries like Retrofit and RxJava & RxAndroid or Kotlin Coroutines, AlamoFire, RXSwift, ReactiveSwift, RX.NET
- Experience in managing the development system implemented using Java, J2EE and any other ESB technology.
