For the first time, advertisers can use real-time viewing behaviour to reach consumers in new and innovative ways. Samsung’s Advertising Sales Team operates at the intersection of display advertising and connected televisions offering advertising solutions with the goal of helping our advertisers reach their target audiences across our TV platform and beyond. Leveraging our unique first party data this is a new initiative at Samsung with the potential for massive growth and opportunity. Position Description We are currently looking for an experienced Head of Agency Development, an individual who is a motivated self
- starter responsible for building and growing relationships with named holding companies and agencies across the country. The individual should have a deep understanding of the ins and outs of media agencies, their operating models, and their organizational structures. This includes but is not limited to planning/strategy, investment, programmatic, advanced TV, analytics, as well as agency-owned platforms and data solutions. The individual should have a passion for connected TV, advanced TV, and the rapidly changing way consumers are viewing premium content across all screens. It’s key to have a pulse on how the media agency community is thinking about allocating client video spend to reserved and programmatic channels and what solutions they need to do so more seamlessly. The Head of Agency Development must be able to think strategically, anticipate how buying decisions are made, uncover the business needs of key clients and have a proven ability to negotiate (holding-company-level) partnerships to drive spend. Additionally, this executive will be a team player and have the ability to work collaboratively across the sales organization within a fluid and fast-paced environment. This position is based in Sydney with domestic and trans-Tasman travel as needed. You will report to the General Manager of Samsung Ads. Responsibilities As the Head of Agency Development, you will be responsible for identifying, establishing, and managing senior
- level relationships with agencies and their trading departments across Australia and New Zealand, in order to ensure CTV (Connected TV) as well as digital budgets are invested on Samsung’s suite of advertising solutions. You will drive in-house business modelling, identify actual business opportunities, analyse trends regarding the market, technology, and competitors, and manage a team of sales executives and solutions managers.

You will work collaboratively with demand and supply teams to structure media deals to meet client objectives efficiently and you will partner closely with an existing key-accounts team to manage a selection of top-tier advertisers in partnership with AUNZ agencies.

You would be expected to use your network of advertising agency relationships to structure and build high impact partnerships that exceed our revenue goals. This position is a managerial position and part of the Samsung Ads AUNZ leadership team so it requires not only competency in sales, business development, and account management but also proven leadership skills. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a long-term strategy for driving partnerships and ad sales with agencies on a national level.

Initiate structure and negotiate high impact partnerships with agencies/trading desks including the big 5 agency groups. New advertiser revenue generation through top 5 agencies & key independents.

Create and execute business growth strategies, account plans, and business processes for agency partners, and establish and develop C-level relationships

Build, prioritise, manage and communicate an active pipeline of partners.

Build and maintain a high-performing team, and represent Samsung Ads as a speaker at industry events, developing Samsung’s brand, and identifying prospective partners at industry events.

Collaborate with internal teams to launch new agency-focused products with your partners. Collate and interpret partner feedback to facilitate product enhancements.

Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of Samsung Ads’ products and services, and ensure compliance to Samsung standards, policies, and best practices.

Build and facilitate deals to meet campaign objectives in an efficient manner.
