**The Company**
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation who are expanding rapidly. Hybrid working is in place so you can work 2 days from home with 3 in the offices which are in Melbourne's north. Due to a series of recent business acquisitions, the organisation requires an additional staff member within the payroll function to provide direct support to the Payroll Manager and Payroll Officer. Full training will be provided.
**The Role**
This is a long-term permanent position which offers stability and career development. In time, we expect this role to develop into a full function payroll opportunity so it's ideal for someone with a great attitude and a base level of payroll experience.
Typical day to day duties will involve:
- Checking and processing of timesheets
- Assessing and responding to a range of payroll related queries
- These queries could relate to timesheets, leave, superannuation and commissions
- Analysis of rostering detail
- Supporting Payroll Manager with projects to improve processes and procedures
- Ad hoc payroll related work as delegated by the Payroll Manager
- Supporting with end-to-end payroll processing
This will be a very busy, fast paced and challenging role. The business are growing and as a result, systems, processes and priorities are ever changing. We are looking for applicants that are keen to grow their payroll exposure within a challenging yet supportive environment.
**Your Profile**
You do not need extensive payroll experience for this role as attitude and communication skills are more important. However, a base level of payroll experience would be preferred, even if it comes within an HR, accounts or administration-based environment.
The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:
- Comfortable working north of Melbourne CBD
- 1 year prior Payroll Administration exposure
- Understanding of timesheet processing and basic payroll legislation
- Highly ambitious, hungry and eager to progress
- Exposure to working in a growing organisation with a fast-paced environment
- Excellent coachability, attitude and communication skills
- Long term working rights in Australia
