We are currently seeking a Quality Coordinator to join our team on MTMS. As a Quality Coordinator, you will report to the Quality Manager and provide support in implementing and monitoring quality objectives and requirements. You will work closely with your team to ensure that risks and issues are identified and managed to avoid any negative impacts on project delivery. Additionally, you will assist with inspection and testing requirements.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Developing and reviewing inspection and test plans and checklists under direction
- Recommending inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans, process control procedures, and testing and analysis procedures to meet design, specification, and standard requirements
- Ensuring Hold and Witness Points are included in Inspection and Test Plans as required
- Collaborating with the Construction team to open lots in a timely manner, ensure completeness, review, and close out efficiently
- Conducting surveillance audits and site inspections, reporting potential non-conformances to the Construction team and Quality Manager
- Maintaining calibration records of measuring and monitoring equipment during work execution
- Documenting quality issues and performance measures for management review
- Assisting with the implementation of the Quality Management System to meet project quality objectives and targets
- Preparing audit reports summarizing production and quality issues and recommending corrective actions
- Identifying and reporting quality objectives, requirements, risks, and other issues that may negatively impact project delivery to the Quality Manager
- Providing technical advice and assistance to management for quality-related activities
- Understanding compliance and reporting procedures and processes
- Managing the reporting of non-compliances and ensuring effective implementation of dispositions, remedial solutions, and corrective actions
- Reviewing subcontractors' quality documentation to ensure they fulfill their quality system obligations
- Attending inspections to ensure compliance with design and project requirements
- To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering (or similar), Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management, or Project Management
- Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications and broad work experience in rail, signaling, and/or steel fabrication/welding
- More than 1 year of experience in a quality representative role
- Experience in quality assurance, preferably within the construction industry on Major Rail or Infrastructure Projects
- Experience in developing and implementing project QA management systems
