**About the client**
Privately owned Australian forwarder with offices nationally and industry experience of 40 years. based in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, with an open plan office of 10, warehouse and national size of 60 staff, there is nowhere in the world this forwarder can't move cargo or go for their clients. Cargowise PAVE task driven system, so everyone can step in when others are busy to make it an all round team effort for all jobs and to keep the culture strong

**About the role**
As the branch Operations Manager, your role will be the escalation point and go to for your team of 6 staff, covering import/export, air/sea and cartage, a well as being the 2IC to the branch manager in support. While the role will be hands on, with a focus on import air, but also all facets of operations, you will be responsible for the branch operations P&L, training/onboarding/mentoring and even to bring your own ideas to the table for the branch.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Manage a team of 6 operators covering import, export, air, sea, cartage
- Hands on in all facets of operations when busy or people away
- Escalation point for staff and clients
- End of Month P&L, job closures
- Process & Improvement roll outs
- 2IC and close knit relationship with branch manager

**Skills & Experience**
- Freight forwarding background
- All round operational understanding and abilities
- Import Air, a must
- Cargowise, a must (PAVE, even better)
- Ability to "wear many hats"
- Team player & mentor to developing staff
