The Opportunity
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the various component processes required to ensure the successful delivery of small to medium scale projects to Vocus customers. The Project Coordinator will both own and deliver projects and provide support to Project Managers on larger more complex solutions, as well as owning and delivering operational outcomes for the Fibre Team.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
This role will undertake a wide range of duties in support of the successful delivery of the Vocus product portfolio and the continuous improvement of the associated delivery processes. The items listed below form the core of the role:

- Manage the successful delivery of small to medium scale Fibre projects and internal improvement projects to defined constraints and WHS requirements
- Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all Vocus customers through
- the provisioning process
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
- in a timely and clear fashion
- Create and maintain professional project documentation - appropriate to the scale,
- complexity and risk of the fibre project.
- Follow documented project management processes for the delivery of all projects
- Establish and publish processes not yet documented in line with the Team Lead’s direction and instructions.
- Provide a single point of contact for project and process enquiries, issues, and escalations.
- Provide support to Fibre Project Managers where required
- Own and achieve successful outcomes of Fibre Operational Processes, including but not limited to team reporting, team meetings, Contractor onboarding & governance.
- Assist with the continual improvement of processes within the Fibre Operations
- team, National Customer Service Delivery and across Vocus, where appropriate.
- Assist in supporting/mentoring colleagues within the Fibre Team or wider Service
- Productivity - maintaining a ‘quantity’ of work output in line with expectations set by Team Lead and Manager.
- Quality - maintaining a ‘quality’ of work in line with expectations set by Team Lead and Manager. This will be directly driven by network specifications, contractor documentation, project management guidelines and other processes and will be measured via scheduled 6 monthly and ad hoc (when required) Health Checks.
- Attitude/Behaviour - consistently demonstrate an attitude and behaviour conducive to improving team performance.
- Other duties, as required.

What you’ll bring to this role
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong experience in a Fibre Construct Environment in the Telecommunications industry
- Experience as Project Coordinator, Completion Coordinator, EA to Director of Fibre Construction, Senior Project Administrator in Fibre Construct Environment
- The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally
- Outstanding commitment to customer service and delivering an exceptional customer experience (for internal and external customers)
- Well-developed relationship building and relationship management skills
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- A focus on Continual Improvement - both Individual and Team.
