**About the team**:
The Ministerial and Executive Enabling Branch provides a range of support and assistance to the Executive and our Ministers. This includes the planning and reporting framework required under relevant legislation, parliamentary and Cabinet support, governance support, internal audit, enterprise risk management and fraud and corruption control. It is at the heart of the department and enables Ministers, the Executive and broader department to achieve outcomes.

The Parliamentary Services Team sits within this branch and provides advice, support and liaison between the department, portfolio agencies and our Ministers’ offices.

The team provides a variety of services and is responsible for managing the department’s many day-to-day parliamentary and co-ordination operations.

The team’s tasks include but are not limited to:

- facilitating the workflow of ministerial correspondence
- administering portfolio co-ordination requests
- coordinating the portfolio’s attendance at Senate Estimates
- providing administration and other support for the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS)
- managing other related functions including Question Time Briefs (QTB), parliamentary inquiries and questions on notice.

Experience in the following is desirable but not required:

- using a document management system such as ‘Digital First’, CabNet+ and/or PDMS
- a working knowledge of ministerial and parliamentary systems and processes, or an appetite to develop these skills quickly

**What you will do**:
Primary duties for the APS 6 position would include, but not be limited to:

- preparations and related logistics for Senate Estimates hearings
- working with a variety of stakeholders on parliamentary committee-related matters including Inquiries and Government responses
- facilitating parliamentary, inquiry and other questions on notice through the PDMS program
- other duties as required.

The successful APS 6 would also be expected to:

- build positive relationships and managing stakeholder engagement, which includes providing assistance across the portfolio on procedures and requirements
- provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- support the Assistant Manager
