**The Role**
Parliamentary is responsible for facilitating high quality, timely parliamentary services and ministerial products to the department and Ministers’ offices through a commitment to continuously improving processes and practices. The team identifies and develops innovative solutions to enhance client experience.
As a Parliamentary Officer you must have proven attention to detail as well as being able to demonstrate discretion, coordination skills, sound judgement and excellent stakeholder engagement.
The Parliamentary team are seeking to fill multiple APS5 vacancies in the following areas:
- Cabinet
- Senate Estimates
- Committee Inquiries
- Ministerial Office Support
- Parliamentary Workflow
- Parliamentary systems support
- Tabling
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS5 may include:
- monitoring parliamentary inboxes and respond to complex queries and escalate if required
- providing advice to line areas regarding processes, templates and timelines
- high level of administrative support
- maintaining contacts lists for stakeholders
- reviewing and updating team’s standard operating procedures
- quality checking and processing ministerial items prior to delivery to ministerial offices
- tabling QoNs and Government responses
- preparing activity reports on Parliamentary records
- reviewing Hansard for questions on notice
- assisting the APS6 and EL1 with coordination activities and reporting.
