We are pleased to be partnering with this major supply-chain solutions based FMCG business to find their new HR Lead. From humble beginnings, this family-owned business has transformed over time and is proud to have over 1000 SKUs they import, distribute, and export. They now have over 200 employees nationally across manufacturing, operations, warehousing and sales.
Based in Altona and reporting to a supportive and inspiring CEO, as well as leading a small team and providing hands-on day to day support across the employee lifecycle, the HR Lead will work with the leadership team to understand business requirements from a people perspective, act as a first point of contact for key stakeholders, identify capability development needs, and manage change.
This role is an integral part of the leadership team, responsible for a Talent & Capability Manager, HR Advisor and HR Administrator, and is the driver on performance, change management, reward and recognition, HSE, and the escalation point for complex matters. The role also owns Health & Safety.
In addition, you will bring:
- Experience at the HR Business Partner or Manager level, ideally within a small to medium FMCG or supply chain business
- A genuine passion for developing an organisation's people capability and driving a people strategy that will support the business agenda
- Experience working within a blue and white collar, unionised environment
- Employee/industrial relations experience including an understanding of enterprise agreements
- Understanding of payroll (managed by HR Advisor)
- An understanding of the importance of OHS, competent in the management of workers compensation matters and return to work coordination
- Strong business acumen, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Flexibility, patience, and resilience
