About the Role
We have an exceptional opportunity for Project Coordinator on a permanent part time (22.8 hours) basis at our Redfern, Sydney office. You will be an integral member of the our Salvation Army International Development team that works in the pursuit of a better world for all, through the elimination of poverty, discrimination and injustice.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be critical in supporting the team in the delivery of community development projects in assigned overseas territories.
The focus of the role is to:
- Assist with the development of project proposals/plans and ensure all milestones, deliverables, deadlines and budget constraints are strictly adhered to
- Provide technical support in conjunction with overseas partners
- Coordinate the preparation of project reports
- Undertake monitoring and evaluation through the project cycle
- Support overall project team with coordination of meetings, resources, research and information in relation to project delivery
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a demonstrated work history in International Development and will be prepared to travel on a regular basis.
Key capabilities include:
- High level cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively with internal, external and international stakeholders
- Advanced writing and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to prepare reports using clear, concise language and data;
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities and respond to emerging needs;
- Ability to work in and contribute to a team building environment- An undergraduate degree in International Development or related discipline- Advanced Microsoft Office skills- Proficiency in the use of Project Management software
