Our Payroll team have a unique opportunity for a high-performing Payroll Manager to join their team based in Barangaroo, Sydney. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract.
As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the payroll team receive a high standard of ongoing support, mentoring and skills development. The role will also require the reviewing and approval of the smaller offshore payroll team’s payroll outputs. This role will also continue to provide the Lendlease business with Payroll consulting and will be the escalation point for all business enquires. You will also be responsible for ensuring the payroll teams are up to date with all legislative changes and regulations to ensure that Lendlease payrolls are always compliant.
Further, your responsibilities will include
- Authorisation of all payrolls- Authorisation of all bank payments- Provide training, guidance, assistance and development of the payroll teams- Ensure that all payrolls are compliant and in line with legislation and regulations- Provide business support with payroll consulting- Responsible for reviewing and signing off on business reporting- Participating in any internal or external audit as approved by Lendlease- Consult with Industrial Relations and People & Culture teams regarding Award and Enterprise Agreement updates or changes. Consult with Payroll Systems Administration Manager and provide payroll operational support for Award and Enterprise Agreement updates- Be in regular contact with our payroll vendor to resolve BAU items as they arise
To see success, you will demonstrate strong people leadership skills, with extensive experience in a similar role, to engage and support a team to deliver critical payroll outcomes. You will have the ability to work under pressure, working towards tight deadlines whilst ensuring your work is of the highest standard.
