**The Role**

If you are an EL1 Procurement Officer with experience in public sector procurement and contract management reporting, looking for a 12 month non-ongoing contract, then this may be the role you have been looking for

**Duties**
- Support the Central Procurement Unit (CPU) team including developing, coaching, and mentoring.
- Provide high quality advice and support for procurement planning, evaluation, and approvals.
- Provide guidance and support to contract managers and provide assistance in resolving contract disputes.
- Maintain fit for purpose documentation for the Procurement reporting and Contract Management Frameworks.
- Identify compliance risks relating to procurement, contract management and provide support to business areas to manage these risks.
- Drafting reports relating to procurement and contract management compliance and risks for internal governance committees and legislative requirements.
- Lead and review projects and initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide high quality and regular training to staff in relation to procurement and contract management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and operational business planning.
- Identify and implement improvements to procurement activities.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**Do You Have?**
- Demonstrated public sector procurement and contract management reporting experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate and influence confidently.
- 5.Strong leadership skills with an ability to provide a culture of collaboration and outcome delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to plan workloads and coordinate to effectively deliver projects that achieve outcomes.

**Desirable Qualifications/Experience**
- Relevant qualifications in procurement are desirable for this position.
- Previous experience in strategic procurement in a government environment is highly desirable.
