**The Role**
This position forms part of a fast paced, dynamic team that manages Relocations, Housing, and Defence Home Ownership Assistance for the Australian Defence Force.

You will be required to manage a unified team, focused on supporting Defence capability, retention, and customer satisfaction within an environment that is underpinned by the National Defence Strategy.

Your functions will directly contribute to the Defence Housing and Relocation Model, and one or more of the following will apply:

- The effective management of complex contracts.
- Support ADF Retention.
- Enable Defence Housing and Relocations reform.
- Support people and policy reform.
- Support NDS implementation.
- Cross agency engagements.

You will be required to manage compliance with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements (ADF Pay and Conditions Manual - PACMAN).

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. **About our Team**
Within the Contracting function an EL 1 Contracting Manager is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex strategic procurement and contracting work within an integrated workforce.

They will require an in-depth knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
