It’s an exciting time for Tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. We are transforming how we deliver tennis, with the aim of making it more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve our plan we are looking for an Event Operations Lead to join our team at Tennis Tasmania on a permanent full-time basis and contribute to the promotion and growth of tennis across Tasmania.

In this role, you will ensure event readiness for the Hobart International, incorporating general event, site, catering and broadcast operational requirements. You will play a key role in bringing to life content throughout the event to contribute to fan engagement and deliver on partner requirements.

About the role

- General Manager Tennis Tasmania & Hobart International Tournament Director_
- , in this role you will:_
- Coordinate all Event, Site and Catering Operational requirements for the Hobart and other professional tournaments / event hosting.
- Organise Catering Operation requirements (corporate program and offerings, official caterers, public food outlets, liquor licences.
- Work closely with the City of Hobart / State Government authorities to ensure all required permits are obtained.
- Develop comprehensive event budgets with the Tournament Director.
- Deliver the annual Tasmanian Tennis Awards event
- Provide administration support for the General Manager Tennis Tasmania & Hobart International Tournament Director.

About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Tertiary Qualifications in event and/or project management / business / administration (desirable).
- Event project management experience and knowledge.
- Experience in delivering successful events.
- Experience in leading a team with key stakeholders such as volunteers, contractors and suppliers.
- Ability to build strong rapport and engagement with key stakeholders.
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
