Event Coordinator Role

At our leading vacation ownership and travel membership company, we offer a dynamic opportunity to shine in a dual-role position as Event Coordinator and Food & Beverage Supervisor.

This role involves overseeing the Front of House team at Beaches Restaurant and Bar, ensuring exceptional service standards and smooth daily operations.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for venue enquiries, bookings, and coordination
  • Liaising with clients to understand event requirements and develop tailored plans
  • Coordinating logistical elements of events including staffing, catering, equipment, and vendor management
  • Ensuring the venue is set up and presented to the highest standards for each event
  • Monitoring budgets and providing regular progress updates to clients
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience and recommending venue improvements
  • Maintaining a list of suppliers to support large event delivery
  • Supporting the wider team with administrative and operational tasks as needed
  • Promoting venues at local tourism engagement opportunities and attending trade events
  • Gathering post-event feedback for business improvement
  • Managing restaurant reservations and responding to customer inquiries
  • Ensuring the highest level of visitor satisfaction and managing the FOH team for smooth daily operations
  • Managing opening and closing tasks for the restaurant, including End-Of-Day banking
  • Contributing to content creation for social media
  • Complying with organisational policies and procedures

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar events/venue coordination role, preferably within hospitality or tourism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • A keen eye for detail and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency with event management software and MS Office suite
  • A passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
