**The role**
We are currently searching for an experienced HR Coordinator with a focus on Safety to join our People & Culture Team based in our Head Office. The objective is to provide WHS advice and support to all of the Strikeforce companies nationally. A key responsibility of the role will be to maintain the Strikeforce Health, Safety and Environment Management System, manage WorkCover Claims, and take initiatives to build a strong health and safety culture and level of compliance amongst all employees and leaders.
Reporting to the Head of People and Culture you will also be working with the People & Culture Team on HR projects and supporting business leaders with their general HR requirements. Ideally you will be process orientated, have high level attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be consistent in your delivery. The ability to be adaptable and resilient in a fast paced and ever changing environment is a necessity.
**Key functions of the role include**
- Design, implement, maintain and promote a Health, Safety and Environmental Management System
- Maintain our WorkCover systems and processes to facilitate effective and efficient management of WHS information and data integrity
- Develop a sound understanding of the business operations to ensure compliance with Strikeforce WHS policy, and procedures
- Manage workers compensation claims and injury management processes
- Manage and develop return to work plans
- Undertake or support investigation into serious accidents or high potential near loss incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Provide accurate and timely administrative support to the People & Culture Team.
- Prepare employee correspondence.
- Work proactively with the business, provide first level advice to employees, and answer queries on HR related matters, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Coordinate and administer learning and development programs in the conjunction with the People & Culture Team.
**Key Selection Criteria**:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or Work Health and Safety.
- Working knowledge of the OHS Act across the nation.
- Working knowledge of Fair Work
- Experience in the duties of RTW
- Experience processing and managing Work Cover Claims
- Highly developed communication skills in dealing with all levels of a business.
- Ability to multi task and manage time.
- Steady under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Confident, approachable and resilient.
