Reporting to the CEO, we are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to promote and enhance one of the best destinations on Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast.

As Marketing Manager, your role will be to lead the strategic marketing activity, to continually enhance the brand and deliver the best possible visitation and expenditure into the region.

You will be responsible for leading a positive and dynamic team with a focus on achieving immediate and long-term business goals. This role is strategically instrumental in bringing the destination brand to consumers across touch points to achieve best results in domestic and global marketing, advertising and media buying, cooperative industry initiatives, social and digital marketing, events sponsorship, brand management and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities of the role:
**Marketing & Brand Management**
- Develop and implement an annual marketing plan
- Guide and implement strategic marketing activity for identified niche segments in partnership with industry sector representatives.
- Manage and oversee regional marketing initiatives and programs to grow new audience segments and aid in developing partnership opportunities.
- Develop and roll out annual/seasonal destination campaigns that meet strategic objectives and increase awareness and booking conversions the region.
- Provide constant thought leadership through market research to identify new international, domestic and local opportunities to propel position in the marketplace.
- Manage and oversee member and stakeholder relationships, driving opportunities.

**Digital + Data Capability**
- Ability to analyse, assess and draw insights from data sets to make informed evidence-based decisions and interpret into effective marketing strategies.
- Improve data analytics and evidence-based decision making across all positions.

**Content + Events + Projects**
- Use available data for forward planning, coupled with continual assessment of environmental and economic conditions to adapt short term activity, ensuring maximum economic outcomes.
- Collaborate with Trade Marketing Manager to deliver trade-based marketing activity such as planners, itineraries, training and trade show support to maximise awareness of region domestically and internationally.
- Event sponsorship - work closely with stakeholders to attract best event attractions to the region and oversee the event sponsorship prograM/Funding for annual community and destination events.
- Content Strategy - oversee and guide the content strategy for implementation, ensuring assets are on-brand and consumer trends/products are captured and presented reflect each stage of the customer journey.

**Skills and Attributes**
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, media or a related field
- Highly organised, data-driven and detail oriented
- Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of meeting budget objectives
- Digitally and commercially savvy leader
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Strong project management skills
- High level communication and influencing skills
- Ability to manage a professional, high-performing team
- Demonstrated experience in driving change in a collaborative way
