**About the company**:
Our client is an agile company, offering innovative solutions for complex projects, over a range of industry sectors and offering a wealth of engineering, Scientific and technical aptitude. Their Civil team currently consists of around 56 employees.

**About the Role**:
The Civil Manager is responsible for managing and completing projects allocated by the Operations Manager, in a safe, efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner through the diligent management of people, subcontractors, and resources.
The Civil Manager actively provides leadership and guidance to construction crews, as well as coordinating day-to-day operations, managing the budget, planning, and scheduling of work.

**Duties**:

- Working on and managing a range of civil, demolition, and environmental remediation projects.
- The Civil Manager will handle all questions from staff and client contacts in conjunction with the Project Manager
- Following instructions from Operations Manager, General Manager and working alongside Senior Project Managers
- Leading a team of safety-focused people and managing operational resources (including subcontractors)
- Working independently and making decisions with the company’s best interest in mind
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, business, and client standards
- Delivery of work across multiple project sites
- Continual assessment of site works as required

**Skills and Experience**:

- Civil Trade qualifications or equivalent
- Extensive Civil Construction / Remediation experience
- Experience managing teams across the civil space
- Sound knowledge of WHS and EHSQ policies
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Various earthworks machinery competencies
- Demolition license - desirable but not essential
- Asbestos tickets - desirable but not essential
- Driver’s license required
- 10 years of experience in Civil Construction and Earthworks
- Strong communication skills
- Effectively use MS Suite of programs including MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook,
