With a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and performance, we are growing and we're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team.
About the position
As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will work under the supervision of senior engineers and project managers on various civil engineering projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning, design, and construction phases of civil engineering projects.
- Conducting site investigations and analysis of data (e.g., maps, reports, tests) to support project feasibility and design.
- Preparing engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Performing field inspections and surveys to assess project progress and quality.
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules and tenders (cost tracking projects)
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the project life cycle.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and technologies relevant to civil engineering.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Full working rights in Australia
- Sound knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities.
