**The Opportunity**

Following the redevelopment of the Civic Precinct and Community Hub, our Customer Engagement Department has an exciting opportunity for a **Civic Facilities Officer** to join the team. Reporting to the Team Leader, Civic Facilities, this role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, including the booking and facility management of community meeting rooms, hosting of Civic functions, and delivery of Council dinners.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Undertake administrative tasks such as processing correspondence and bookings with internal and external stakeholders, managing bond payments, and processing facility hire payments.
- Provide room set-up, clean up and re-set for community spaces.
- Ensure courteous, respectful, and engaging customer service for venue hirers, patrons, and other stakeholders.
- Support the display of relevant flags at the Civic Precinct in accordance with the Flag Raising Protocols
- Monitor and report maintenance or faulty equipment to the Team Leader Civic Facilities in a timely manner.

**About You**
- To be considered for this role, you will have the following:_
- Tertiary qualification in hospitality or event management and/or extensive experience working in civic facilities or the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing community spaces.
- Extensive experience and proficiency in adhering to OH&S and risk management practices related to events, hospitality, and venue management.
- Solid understanding of Food Safety Regulations, especially regarding food handling and storage.
- Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
- Valid Working with Children Check
- No relevant criminal record found in a police check.
