IT Business Relationship Manager

**The Role**
Joining APM in a 12-months fixed term role, you will develop an understanding of their strategic vision, growth aspirations, challenges and needs, and be responsible for translating these into how D&T (Digital & Technology) can help enable these needs. You will facilitate the right connections between the customer group and D&T to bring the right technical capabilities to the table and ensure transparent updates on D&T performance across strategy, project delivery and operational support.
**In this role you will**:
- Facilitate portfolio, demand and prioritisation activities across the nominated customer group and D&T, to develop a customer specific, aligned, funded and well managed portfolio of projects and initiatives.
- Foster an understanding of business value and transformation that can be achieved through the implementation of technology and build digital / delivery awareness and literacy in the nominated customer group.
- Assist in the development of supporting change and communication activities to ensure rapid uptake and ongoing adoption of D&T products and services within the nominated customer group.
- Participate in the nominated customer group’s leadership forums to provide transparent reporting of progress against a portfolio of work and to foster two way and transparent discussions on the aspirations and challenges of both the customer group and D&T.
**Skills you’ll bring**
- Tertiary qualification in information technology, information management, business management or a related field
- Extensive leadership experience in dynamic and complex change environments, including influencing stakeholders, negotiating outcomes, breaking down organisational silos, problem solving, leading teams through change and dealing with ambiguity.
- Experience delivering and managing high quality client and vendor relationships in a complex geographically spread IT environment.
- Experience in developing strategies to improve customer experience, drive operational efficiencies, improve processes and generally adopt a spirit of continuous improvement.
- Strong financial skills, including the ability to collate, analyse and present both project and ongoing costs to stakeholders for approval.
