**Coffee Roaster (Part-Time)**

Are you a passionate coffee enthusiast with previous experience in coffee roasting? East West Coffee is currently seeking a skilled Coffee Roaster to join our team on a part-time basis with an opportunity of converting into a full-time position in 3 months. If you deeply understand coffee beans, excellent roasting techniques, and a commitment to quality, we want to hear from you

We are seeking a head roaster for an immediate start. This is a full-time role, based out of our warehouse/factory in Laverton North, Victoria.

**Position: Coffee Roaster (Part-Time)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and manage coffee roasting equipment to ensure optimal flavour and quality.
- Develop and execute roasting profiles based on coffee bean characteristics.
- Conduct regular cupping sessions to evaluate the coffee quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the roasting area and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement manager for timely bean orders.
- Continuously explore and experiment with new roasting techniques and flavours.
- Adhere to all safety, health, and quality control standards.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Coffee Roaster is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of coffee beans, roasting techniques, and flavour profiles.
- Ability to roast coffee to desired specifications and consistently maintain quality.
- Strong sensory skills to evaluate and identify flavour profiles and defects in coffee.
- Understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet production deadlines.
- Flexibility to work 20 hours per week. (Mon-Fri only)

**How to Apply**:
**Salary**: $27.5 - $32 per hour (based on experience)
