**About the role**

The Manager - Commercial Transactions is responsible for assisting with identifying, negotiating, and executing commercial transactions relating to strategic growth priorities across the Energy Supply & Operations (ES&O) business unit including renewable energy initiatives.

As part of the Commercial Transactions, this role will provide assistance with a broad range commercial opportunities across the broader Energy Supply & Operations business.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Develop relevant commercial strategies, develop business plans and proposals for the identified growth opportunities.
- Manage, negotiate and assist with execution of commercial transactions including acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, partnerships and other large scale commercial agreements.
- Assist with preparation of proposals to internal Origin stakeholders for approval, including the Executive General Manager, ES&O, Origin’s Investment Committee and the Origin Board where applicable.
- Lead relevant business units and corporate stakeholders on the planning, management and execution of the commercial transaction.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant quantitative discipline are essential.
- Highly numerate with demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to understand complex models.
- Prior experience in data analysis and modelling.
- Ability to predict, understand and asses the commercial impact of business decisions.
- Highly organised with ability to prioritise multiple tasks and achieve successful outcomes within required timelines.
- Ability to identify, grasp, communicate, and communicate upon new and complex issues and distil issues to facilitate commercial decisions.
- Strategic and clear thinker capable of identifying and articulating solutions to add value to Origin.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Able to work independently or in a team environment with a wide range of functional activities.
