**About the role**

Are you passionate about shaping the future of energy? Do you thrive in fast-growing, innovative sectors? Origin is looking for an experienced Commercial Development Manager to help us towards a cleaner, more sustainable energy future through our Community Batteries initiative.

As the Commercial Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in evaluating and developing business opportunities that drive market growth. You will support major agreements while independently negotiating and commercialising a variety of innovative opportunities within the community batteries sector. Your strategic insights and partnerships will directly contribute to Origin's mission to lead the global transition towards a Net Zero future. Your responsibilities will include:

- Steer the negotiation of commercial terms and collaborate with legal teams to finalise agreements.
- Evaluate community battery investment and battery tolling agreements and opportunities.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships (both internal and external) to drive innovative energy solutions.
- Provide detailed financial and commercial analysis, contributing to long-term strategies and community battery initiatives.
- Support the development of Storage-as-a-Service products for retail and commercial customers.

**What will you bring?**

You will have a strong enthusiasm for the energy transition, renewable energy initiatives, and advancing towards a Net Zero future. Additionally, you will possess a curious, problem-solving attitude and a drive to innovate within this swiftly changing industry. You will also demonstrate:

- 5+ years of experience in the energy market, with a track record of securing favourable commercial agreements.
- Strong analytical skills and financial modelling expertise.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement, managing complex transactions with ease.
