**THE ROLE**

This is a unique opportunity to join the Corporate Strategy & Development team based in Sydney. The focus for this position, within the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Team, will be to support the execution of Origin’s acquisitions and divestments. The team operates closely with various functions within the organisation, including Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Legal, as well as the operational business units.

Working closely with the Group Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions, you’ll be responsible for:

- Project managing and co-ordinating various aspects of transaction execution
- Developing commercial and financial analysis to support strategic decision making
- Building detailed financial models to evaluate potential opportunities
- Conducting research of companies and markets
- Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management and the board
- Providing input into commercial matters around transaction issues and execution
- Participating in ad-hoc projects as required by senior team members

**IS THIS YOU?**

You will have sound commercial judgement, project coordination and experience in commercial and financial analysis. You will also have knowledge of both market and commercial concepts as well as being able to navigate and capture accounting and tax concepts in financial analysis.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products including Excel, Power Point, Word
- Around 2-4 years’ commercial experience, developing the skills and competencies listed above.
- Relevant undergraduate degree (finance, accounting, commerce, economics, engineering)
- Analytical thinking, assisting in navigating through complex situations and the ability to develop a solution
- Ability to effectively manage multiple completing priorities to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
- Ability to build and sustain relationships, obtain cooperation and develop collaborative working relationships across all levels
