- As part of this growth strategy, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Transport Manager to join our team and drive operational excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement across Australia and New Zealand.- Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement:

- Lead and manage CI projects to drive operational efficiencies and optimize performance across Australia and New Zealand.
- Collaborate with state managers and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, analyze trends, and identify areas for enhancement.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the organization.
- Strategic Leadership and Vision:

- Develop and implement a best practice national linehaul vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance and achieve commercial targets.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to state managers and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of linehaul operations with overall business goals.
- Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the ELT, state managers, operations teams, and other functional areas.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to optimize service delivery and drive value-added solutions.
- Act as a key point of contact for escalated issues, inquiries, and feedback related to linehaul operations.
- Team Development and Leadership:

- Manage, develop, and mentor state managers and cross-functional teams to enhance their skills, performance, and career growth opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals and expectations, and provide constructive feedback and recognition.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in Transport management, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence (Linehaul a bonus)
- Strong COR and Safety (regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and industry best practices).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex transportation strategies and initiatives.
- Commitment to the company's values and principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
