You probably want to know what’s involved.
If you’ve worked in Events before, you know what it takes. Building relationships with key stakeholders, coordinating a busy calendar of events, managing sponsorship packages, coordinating event sponsors and speakers, social media marketing, and finance management. All thanks to your efficient events coordination, communication, and administration skills.
You’ll work mainly remotely, and on-site in Hobart when the events are being held. Flexibility is offered here, we envisage you’ll work 20 hours per week, but we can negotiate when those hours are to suit your week.
You’ll work closely with the Events Committee and report to the CEO. This is a small team, so all hands are on deck, and everyone chips in to ensure the events are a success.
You’ll be responsible for agenda preparation, event listing on websites, Humantix registration websites, venue bookings, catering, name badges, maintaining guest lists, publishing images on websites, promoting the photo gallery as well as post-event surveys.
By the way, if you’re wondering if you need qualifications, don’t worry. Your personality is more important than your exam results. We do require you to have at least 5 years experience in events coordination and or marketing.
If you already know your way around EDM tools like Mailchimp, WordPress, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms, that will help. If not, we’ll train you.
