**About the Business Unit**:
The Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP) is a maximum-security facility providing statewide assessment and orientation services for all male prisoners received into the prison system and is located within the North West Metropolitan Area. MAP consists of the prison, the custody facilities at the County, Supreme and Appeal Courts and holding cells at St Vincent's Hospital for prisoners requiring outpatient medical treatment.

**About the Role**:
In the role of a Rostering Officer, some of your duties will include:

- Maintaining personnel and payroll functions for the Melbourne Assessment Prison and Courts
- Assisting with the development of rosters and taking carriage for publishing fortnightly rosters, up to 6 weeks in advance, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with relevant policies and the VPS Agreement
- Monitoring and maintaining rosters daily, adjusting to accommodate changes such as leave requests, unplanned absences and operational needs.

**About You**:

- Demonstrable experience and proficiency in the use of rostering based systems, such as TimeTarget/Humanforce or Kronos, and understanding of rostering principles for planning and maintaining multiple staff roster lines
- Demonstrable experience understanding and advising on enterprise awards and agreements as they relate to rostering
- Knowledge and experience in rostering, human resource services and /or payroll processing
- Qualifications/Requirements:_
- A relevant qualification in human resources, finance or business administration is highly desirable
