Your Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated individual who will be responsible for a range of tasks including intake, processing and tracking of correspondence for the Offices of the Executive Director - Infrastructure Delivery, as well as providing general administrative support services across the wider work unit.
Your Role
As the Correspondence Support Officer, you will have responsibility for, but not limited to the following:
- Contribute to the development and refinement of procedures, systems and standards by providing both formal and informal feedback on implementation issues and quality assurance processes primarily relating to the flow of divisional correspondence
- Assist in the preparation and processing of responses to sensitive and confidential correspondence directed to Infrastructure Services Division, providing a high level of service and a continuous flow of work in line with departmental standards.
- Respond to inquiries emanating from within and external to Infrastructure Services Division in a courteous manner and within appropriate timelines.
- Liaise with officers at all levels of the department, other government agencies, educational institutions and organisations, the private sector and community representatives.
- Liaise with senior team members and management to ensure a continuous flow of work, to clarify objectives and to monitor and finalise tasks.
- Assist in providing reports to assist in the management of executive records.
- Undertake a range of general administrative tasks within the work unit as required.
- The Correspondence Support Officer reports to the Principal Advisor.

- high level communication and interpersonal skills; and
- experience in use of correspondence tracking and electronic diary management systems.
- You will be a team player, proactive, willing to learn and be able to manage a range of issues in a time sensitive manner.
