Due to an expanding team, Illawarra Family Medical Centre are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team
- Based in Wollongong.

- Casual contract with opportunity for a permanent role.

The Role

Working alongside our other medical receptionists, you will be responsible for:

- Meeting and greeting patients.
- Providing superior customer service.
- Opening or closing the practice as needed.
- Entering patient data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Processing and receipting all payments.
- Managing phone enquiries.
- Assisting in maintaining practice cleanliness.
- Providing general administration duties as required.
- Participating in staff meetings and training.

- Authorised to work in Australia.

In addition, you have:

- Demonstrated receptionist experience in a medical practice, preferably a general practice.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Experience with medical practice software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid time management and organisational skills.
- Mature and empathetic approach when dealing with patients.
- A “can do” attitude.
- Completion of an accredited medical receptionist course/knowledge of medical terminology or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $24.47 - $25.70 per hour

Schedule:

- Flexible hours
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
Patients and staff wear masks whilst in the practice. Surface cleaning is done 3 times a day. Patients are COVID screened before attending for an appointment.
