Illawarra Family Medical Centre is a private billing general practice with practice nurses and 21 highly qualified male & female Doctors. IFMC is open 7 days and is located in Wollongong.

**We are looking for a permanent part-time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team**
- Based in Wollongong.
- Friendly and hard-working team that are passionate about delivering excellent patient care.

**The Role**

We are ideally after someone who can work between the practice hours of Monday - Friday 7.00am - 7:00pm with the opportunity of weekend shift coverage.

**Working alongside our other medical receptionists, you will be responsible for**:

- Meeting and greeting patients.
- Providing superior customer service.
- Opening or closing the practice as needed.
- Entering patient data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Processing and receipting all payments.
- Managing phone enquiries.
- Assisting in maintaining practice cleanliness.
- Providing general administration duties as required.
- Participating in staff meetings and training.
- Taking responsibility for timely and thorough completion of their tasks.
- Display an understanding and adhere to privacy and confidentiality.
- Assisting in maintaining practice cleanliness.

**You must have**:

- Demonstrated receptionist experience in a medical practice, preferably a general practice.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Experience with medical practice software, **Best Practice **is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid time management and organisational skills.
- Mature and empathetic approach when dealing with patients.
- A “can do” attitude.

- **Previous experience** as a medical receptionist and/or administration.

**Desirable but not essential**:

- Completion of an accredited medical receptionist course/knowledge of medical terminology or equivalent.

- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
