Permanent Contracts Officer position in Government - Northern suburbs, immediate start.

This Government council is seeking a Contracts Officer to join their team on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible. Reporting to the Coordinator Procurement, this role is a great opportunity to work within a supportive and friendly team.
Your new role
In this role you will be responsible for providing advice and direction around the contract and procurement function to all stakeholders. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Administration of the tender and procurement process
- Review contract and tendering procedures
- Assist staff in the evaluation of contractor performance
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding service requirements
What you’ll need to succeed
- Understanding and experience in purchasing, procurement and contract management
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Understanding of Government tendering and procurement processes will be highly regarded.
What you’ll get in return
In return you will get the opportunity to work in a Contract Officer on a permanent basis. The salary range for this role is $91,000 - $96,000 per year + superannuation. Further details include:
- 2 days WFH per week
- Flexible start and finish times
- Paid sick and annual leave
- North of the River location
