Perth, Australia Mining Employment Services Full time

Our client is seeking an experienced **Contracts Officer** to join our client's team at their WA open-pit project.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-renowned mining company and work for a significant nickel producer & exporter

**Requirements**:

- Ability to decipher and negotiate contractual terms;
- Strong contractual acumen with a solid understanding of legal construct and principles of Australian contract law;
- Ability to determine technical requirements and verify those requirements are covered in the contractual documents;
- Competent using excel.

**Position Duties**:

- Manage the tender process form advise on scopes of work through to sending out tenders and evaluating the tender results;
- Pull inventory reports and manipulate that data to form the basis of tenders for fixed price agreements;
- Report and maintain statistics on Contracts & Service orders created and modified;
- Assist the Procurement Superintendent in the establishment of site supply and service contracts;
- Negotiate cost savings and terms & conditions of new contracts and extended contracts;
- Use established commercial practices to ensure successful delivery of all contracted services;
- Attend contractual meetings and assist with co-ordination of negotiations on contract variations;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements as well as company policies and procedures;
- Liaise with all internal customers to provide a timely and efficient service;
- Establish and maintain sound working relationships through effective liaison with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders;
- Monitor implementation of contracts on an ongoing basis, ensuring that both contactors and site personnel comply with all contractual obligations.

Experience - Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.

Roster - Perth based Monday to Friday; site travel 3 days per fortnight.

Salary - $150K package

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $130,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Perth, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Contract management: 3 years (preferred)
