Seeking experienced Contracts Officers to commence as soon as able in a State Government role

A major Government Health department in East Perth, is seeking an experienced Contracts Officer to manage large scale and complex contracts. This position will be offered on an initial temporary basis through Hays, working full-time hours. You will be paid on a competitive hourly rate, and ideally will be able to commence immediately.

**Your new role**

As the Contracts Officer you will be responsible for managing multiple large and complex contacts for the department, liaising with stakeholders about standard contractual requirements. Your duties will include:

- Overseeing the planning, development and execution stages of contract agreements
- Liaising with key stakeholders on contract requirements, ensuring they are in line with the department's regulations
- Support stakeholders by providing advice on contract negotiations and obligations
- Assess contracts against key performance indicators

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role you will demonstrate previous experience within Contracts Officer position, ideally within the Government sector. In addition, you will have:

- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with confidence handling negotiations
- Strong organisation skills with confidence in running contract start up meetings with providers
- Experience in invoicing would be an advantage
- The ability to work independently and autonomously
