**The Role**
The Maintenance Coordinator provides strategic planning and integration of all internal and external activities affecting the maintenance and support of the local ATM systems and facilities.

The Maintenance Coordinator will also provide management oversight of maintenance staff rostering and professional development (training and authorisation).

The duties of a Maintenance Coordinator in Defence include the following:

- Producing maintenance forecasts and associated works plans.
- Producing and maintaining the Unit Maintenance Plan.
- Allocation of tasks to Maintenance Supervisors.
- Coordination of external maintenance activities and agencies.
- Maintenance brief preparation and delivery.
- System serviceability and availability reporting.
- Communicating with OPS.
- Deviation, STI, MOD, Deferred Defect and SMR management.
- Assurance of Configuration Management.
- Scheduling of COMPASS tasks.
- Maintenance flight staff leave management (approval).
- Individual Authorisation Plan management.

**About our Team**
Maintenance Section provides technical support to the Communications, Navigation and Surveillance equipment utilised within 452SQN Amberley Flight.

452SQN Amberley Flight is responsible for delivering Joint Battlefield Airspace Control and Air Navigation services for ADF Operations and National tasking.
- Possess excellent organisation and problem solving skills as the role involves progressing numerous tasks concurrently.
- Be a confident decision maker and able to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
- Be able to work as an individual and as a part of a larger team and organisation.
- Be self-motivated and professional.
- Be competent utilising IT equipment and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
