**The Role**
The role involves performing maintenance and compliance certification of a broad range of ADF guided weapons, associated explosive ordnance components, and related support equipment. These items are vital elements of ADF capability and contain leading edge technologies that require significant technical expertise and attention to detail in maintaining them to the standards involved.

The maintenance activities involved include, but are not limited to:

- Conducting and certifying for maintenance actions related to scheduled and unscheduled servicing
- Breakdown, repair, assembly, and testing of guided weapons and components
- Performing independent maintenance inspections of guided weapons
- Inspection and test of guided weapons support equipment
- Other related tasks such as condition report writing, liaison with stakeholders, logistic support etc.
- A range of associated secondary duties may be allocated to the successful applicant including first aid practitioner, vehicle management, supply customer account holder etc.
- Supervision of maintenance tasks

Limited interstate and overseas travel may be required.

**About our Team**
The guided weapons maintenance team at RAAF Base Amberley plays a vital role in the delivery of the latest technology guided weapons for the Royal Australian Air Force and Australian Army as part of the broader Explosive Ordnance Maintenance Directorate (EOMD). EOMD has maintenance teams at DEOH NSW and RAAF Base Amberley QLD. The teams are each led by an APS 6 Maintenance Manager under a Deputy Director (EL1) Technical Manager. The teams comprise both Australian Public Service and Australian Defence Force personnel operating in an integrated workplace.

They would be a self-starter able to work both under close supervision or with limited direction and be able to develop strong and harmonious working relationships with team members within EOMD or more broadly in the Department of Defence where appropriate.
