**The Role**
The APS 5 Program Schedule Manager (PSM) at Amberley leads and manages the governance and assurance activities associated with weapons and weapon systems, including projects and conversion activities supported by JLU(SQ) in addition to a number of sustainment support activities.

This includes varied logistics support activities related to the elements of the capability life-cycle, including introduction into service requirements, planned and unplanned maintenance, disposal, inventory management, storage and distribution. This requirement will increase in priority within JLU(SQ), as the Primary Storage and Maintenance Unit, with the ongoing introduction into service of additional new capabilities.

The PSM also monitors compliance around the performance of contractors in delivering many Defence short-notice project tasking and operational deliverables, supervising and coordinating governance and assurance activities associated with current armament projects that both deliver and sustain new capability

- Experience working in a similar role ensuring the alignment of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks in respect of maintenance philosophies
- Experience in developing and promoting a culture of Safety, Health and Wellbeing across a diverse and complex organisation
- Demonstrated knowledge of interpreting legislation, regulations, codes of practice, principles and standards of compliance and risk management
- Good understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks and Defence’s mission and policy requirements
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, especially in preparing (including a high level of attention to detail)
- Ability to liaise and build relationships across and external to the organisation
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritise a changing workload and negotiate an outcome
- A passion for continuous improvement focusing on innovation and improving process and procedures that in-turn provide effective solutions.
