Currently the busiest Tribunal in Australia, VCAT serves the community by resolving civil and administrative disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases.
VCAT's status as a Tribunal, rather than a court, ensures that it operates with flexibility and informality. VCAT is part of Victoria's justice system. The courts and VCAT operate independently of direction from executive government. To support the independence of Victoria's courts and VCAT, our administrative services and facilities are provided by a statutory body corporate: Court Services Victoria (CSV).
This position sits in VCAT's Business Services area within Facilities responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of the services to support operations of VCAT.
About the role
The Business Services will be responsible for the day to day management and coordination of functions and services in Facilities within VCAT. The incumbent will contribute to maximum efficiency in service delivery working in a semi-autonomous environment. The role requires working in collaboration and partnership with stakeholders and strong communication skill to be successful. The Business Services Officer will develop high level of trust and initiative with the manager to work independently to establish priorities. This role has an opportunity to perform and undertake improvement projects.

- Strong ability to liaise with people from various backgrounds and demonstrating ownership and responsiveness.
