Accounts Receivable Specialist

Quick start, ongoing contract for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist. CBD location with 2 days work from home. Likely to become permanent.
**The Company**
The organisation are located centrally in Melbourne (only 5-10 mins walk from Flinders Street Station). The business is growing, and this position is a new one within the current finance structure. Offices are in the CBD, but the successful applicant will also be able to work 2 days per week from home if they choose to. Great company culture and a growing, thriving organisation.
**The Role**
This is initially an ongoing contract position to handle heavy workload though the business is expanding so the position may extend and even become permanent. It reports directly to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor. Things are moving quickly with initial interviews taking place from mid-January onwards.
Typical day to day duties will involve:
- Billing and issuing of invoices
- Daily banking and reconciliations
- Some following up of overdue debt and general cash collection activities
- Working with clients who are overdue to achieve manageable solutions
- Reconciliation of customer accounts
- Receipting and allocating new incoming payments
- General administration tasks to support both accounts and the Office Manager
- Support with end of month accounts receivable and debtor reporting
- Management of the accounts receivable inbox queries
- Issuing credit notes and amending invoices to include relevant purchase orders
This is a full-time position with hours worked Monday - Friday. Remember that you can be at home 2 days per week if you wish.
**Your Profile**
You will have a background in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control with 1 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:
- Some experience with accounts receivable duties
- Good energy and desire to learn
- Passion for customer service and administration
- Able to commence before the end of January
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable picking up new systems
