**The Company**

The organisation is expanding rapidly and can offer a very real opportunity for incoming employees to grow and develop within the company. Offices are located in one of Melbourne's most popular inner suburbs and very close to the CBD. Parking will be paid for and the nearest train station is only a 5 minute walk away. Some work from home options may also be available.

**The Role**

This is a permanent position and a new role in the finance structure which reflects the growth of this organisation. They are an industry leading company who can offer career progression as well as a secure and challenging opportunity.

It's a busy and varied Accounts Receivable role which will add huge value to the business if handled well. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

- Liaise with Account Managers across the business
- High volumes of daily bank and account reconciliations
- Investigation of outstanding business accounts and making calls to collect overdue sums from business customers
- Working with customers to resolve issues that relate to billing, invoicing or collections
- Allocation of incoming payments
- Daily use of Xero system
- Process accounting journals
- Daily use of excel (pivot tables, vlook ups, sum ifs)
- Account reconciliation
- Escalation of high-level debt related issues

This role will grow and develop as the company continues to expand. We are targeting ambitious Accounts Receivable, Collections and Billing Officers who want to continue on the upward curve of their careers.

It's a fast paced and ever-changing environment which requires a strong work ethic and ability to hit the ground running.

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- Prior experience with high volumes of bank reconciliations
- Strong excel skills
- Comfortable working in Melbourne's inner suburbs
- Experience working in accounts for a mid-large organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong general accounts receivables knowledge
